HONOLULU - The Department of Taxation and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will be jointly offering personal assistance to taxpayers on Molokai and in Waianae, Oahu. The services offered include answering tax questions, resolving federal and state tax issues, help responding to correspondence from the Department of Taxation and IRS, and other assistance on tax matters.

An appointment is not necessary, but calling ahead can ensure that preliminary research is completed. Taxpayers should bring with them pertinent records, original and amended tax returns, any related correspondence, and proper identification.

Dates (including a special Saturday date in cooperation with the Waianae Public Library), locations, and telephone numbers for appointments are listed below.

The IRS will also have a presence on Kauai thanks to a coalition between the IRS and the Governor's Liaison on Kauai. Information about the IRS services on Kauai also is provided below.  State tax assistance on Kauai is available at our Kauai District Tax Office Mondays through Fridays except State holidays, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Kauai District Tax Office is located in the State Office Building at 3060 Eiwa Street, Room 105.
