What You Need to Know

The deadline to apply to
AADR depends on whether
you are appealing:

  • a proposed assessment,
  • a final assessment, or
  • a preparer penalty.

No Extensions, No Late Applications. Please be mindful of the deadlines. There are no extensions of time to apply and late applications cannot be accepted.

20 Calendar Days. The deadline to apply to AADR is 20 calendar days after the mailing date of the proposed assessment.

30 Calendar Days. The deadline to apply to AADR is 30 calendar days after the mailing date of FINAL assessment or Notice and Demand of Penalty (preparer penalty).

Saturday, Sunday, and State Holidays. If the deadline to apply falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Hawaii state holiday, then you have until the next business day to file.
